What do we Mean?

Who are we talking about?

God*: the God of the Bible; Father, Son (Jesus Christ) & Holy Spirit, one God in 3 persons; our Advocate, Savior, Shepherd, Lord, LORD. God's character is vast and unique. In order to begin to convey Who He is, we use many titles and roles that He has played throughout the Scriptures (the Bible) and in our lives

*All pronouns that are capitalized throughout this website refer to God and are capitalized in honor of His authority in my life.

I/me: Just a Girl who grew up through many life experiences. The blogs and other information here is just my thoughts based on my life, my growth, and my understanding. I honor God as the Giver of Every Good Gift, and I credit Him as the Guide to all that is here.

Disclaimer:

All that is here is Truth to the point that I understand it. I am a human being. I make mistakes. This blog has errors. I just don't know what they are, because this is written out of the honesty of my heart.

In all things, whether to agree with me or not is completely up to you. I claim nothing except that this is my heart. You are responsible for what you do with it.

I would encourage you to ask God to show you His Truth. He is the One that we can trust. The Bible is His Word to us, and He is faithful in its interpretation. Study it and ask Him to show you the Truth. I ask Him questions, and He answers.

There are four stories about Jesus' life that were included in the Bible. They were written by three of Jesus' disciples, Matthew, Mark, and John -- as well as a doctor who spoke with many eye-witnesses, Luke. Their books are known by their names and are the first four books in the New Testament.

Two of them, Matthew and Luke, recorded this thought:

Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you." (ESV)

Luke 11:9, "And I [Jesus] tell you [His followers, including me (and you, if you choose)], ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

We are invited to "ask," "seek," and "knock." In response, God is available to hear us and to respond. James, a family member of Jesus, wrote a letter that was also included in the Bible. He writes, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." (James 4:8aESV) Jeremiah 29:13 confirms, "You will seek Me [the God of the Bible] and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart." (ESV)

God desires to hear from us. :)

Many people (many of them, male) have studied and talked and argued and wondered about the meanings of the Scriptures, the Bible. It is the responsibility of each individual to seek out the Truth for themselves.

I am just a person like you. I listen, I hear, I understand, I make mistakes, and I explain my experience. If it is a benefit to you, I am grateful. It is solely the responsibility of the reader to make your own determinations about what you believe.

I encourage you to choose wise counsel as you do so.

May you be blessed in knowing the Truth, and more importantly in knowing the One Who showed it to us.
